I have been a professional linguist since 2005, both in the shape of language teacher and working as a translator. I hold a degree in English Philology (B.A.), a postgraduate in Cognitive Linguistics (MRes) and QTS for Modern Languages.
I am passionate about the study of human cognition and multicultural communication, and I feel always ready to taking part in projects within these disciplines which might offer new challenges and opportunities to grow. I have worked at secondary and post-16 schools within three different national systems, and in both the public and the private sectors. As a translator, I have worked on all types of texts -academic, literary, business related, etc.
A Spanish national, I have lived most of my life in Las Palmas, Spain, yet I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I lived and worked in England for a couple of years, first on the Isle of Wight and in Cambridge later on. I now reside in Oslo, Norway, where I am in the mission of learning Norwegian and its brother languages, Danish and Swedish.
If you wish to learn Spanish, you can benefit from my experience as a qualified teacher for Secondary and Post-16 education. You can attend lessons or book on-line lessons. More info at infocanarias@vmclases.com
